Cilantro-Leisure Coriander
Coriandrum Sativum
Recommended Plating requirements: Cilantro is not a fussy plant and can do well in almost any amended soil. This plant is easily direct sown into the garden with attention to weed competition. The most common mistake that growers make is planting cilantro during the longest days of the year when it bolts quickly. For maximum success with cilantro plant in the cooler parts of the year and harvest frequently.
Growing Recommendations: Cilantro prefers a moist soil so water is important. Dry soil can cause cilantro to go to seed prematurely. If this happens simply harvest the seeds for fresh coriander.
Harvesting and storage: To harvest simply cut cilantro leaves and stems for your use. Unfortunately, cilantro does not keep well, so harvest as needed.
