A dwarf annual sunflower with large, yellow flowers on 2′ tall stems reach maturity in about 20 days before taller varieties. Great for container gardening and the edible seeds are quite delicious. Plant seed 6″ apart and 1/2″ deep after spring frost. Thin to 1′ apart when plants reach 2″ tall.

Flowers: Edible seeds. Blooms can be year around for Southern California growers.

Attracts: Attracts bees and butterflies; leaves are favored by finches and other birds

Soil: Adaptable to various, moderately fertile soil types
