This blonde, short season cabbage has a ball-shaped head that weighs 4 to 5 pounds.  Many love this variety for delicious sauerkraut, paired with corned beef or in Grandma’s famous coleslaw recipe.

Suggested Planting Requirements: Rich soil is required, so amending organically before planting.   Cabbage is hardy enough to direct sow.

Growing recommendation: Cabbages can be grown in fall or spring if the conditions meet the growing temperatures.  Spacing should be considered as cabbages need a considerable amount of space.

Harvesting and Storage: Harvest as soon as the head is the desired size.  Cut at base of plant.  Do not wash until use to prevent premature rot.  Store in the refrigerator for weeks.
