Lovage is a specialty culinary and medicinal herb. Young leaves of Lovage taste like celery and can be used in many recipes. Roots are also edible. If allowed to flower, the flowers are a favorite of beneficial insects such as lacewings, parasitic wasps, and more. Re commending planting requirements: Lovage is a cool-season crop that needs long periods of mild weather and a constant supply of moisture for uninterrupted growth. Transplant (recommended) 6-7 weeks before last spring frost. Transplant outdoors when plants are 5-6" tall. Growing Recommendations: Lovage thrives in rich moist soil and can tolerate semi-shade in warmer climates. Harvesting & Storage: Harvest shoots as soon as they are big enough for use. The entire plant is edible—leaves, stems, and roots are edible, and seeds can be used as a spice to season dishes. Special Germination instructions: Lovage seeds are small and should be planted close to the surface. Light helps aid in the germination of seeds, so cover lightly with soil. Red Giant Mustard Seeds Organic
